This past weekend was the 2016 San Jose Open. After a very long two days our team came home with first place in both the gi and no gi divisions. This would not have been possible with out the sacrifice of so many people. From the affiliates who flew in early for our annual association camp, to their families who supported and believed in them, to everyone at our Academy. Great job guys!
With that said, what made this competition so special wasn't the medals or trophies we won but how we all supported and were there for each other. In Jiu Jitsu we often say that we are a family, and that is true a lot of the times, but being a team is also something special. We choose our team, we don't get the opportunity to choose our family and knowing that everyone who was here wanted to be and did their best was really inspiring. 2016 is just beginning, can't wait for what's in store next!!
