One of the questions I commonly get asked is if CaioTerra.com is recommended for people just starting their Jiu-Jitsu journey. They see an advanced video from youtube or Instagram and instantly think, never in a million years would I be doing something like that.
What many people don't realize is that when I started, I was completely lost as well! In fact, all black belts at one time were beginners, swimming in quicksand and trying to figure out which way was up. I wish online training existed back when I started!
Caioterra.com was designed for all levels and is absolutely beneficial for those starting their Jiu-Jitsu journey. With that said, DO NOT watch random videos that you think look "cool". This will more often than not lead to frustration and confusion as the concepts may be too advanced for where you are currently in your journey.
Instead, spend time watching the curriculum section. It took me years to design our curriculum, this same curriculum I teach in all my fundamental classes at my academy in San Jose and use throughout the world at my affiliate academies. By understanding the fundamentals and concepts taught in this section, you will develop a great foundation! Later as you build on this foundation you can start to explore advanced lesson plans and have much more fun and success in your Jiu-Jitsu journey.
