Monday, November 7th starting at 6pm we will be hosting a #submitthestigma seminar in honor of Shirley Yeh. Shirley was an amazing person and words can't describe how much she will be missed.
Jiu Jitsu is great for a lot of things, but we are not mental health professionals. We all need help at some point in our lives and it's my hope that by raising awareness we change the stigma of mental illness.
When some one is over weight and they change their diet we don't say "oh you're dieting now" we say that's awesome you're getting healthy. When some one goes to counseling we should feel the same way, as mental health is equally if not more important than physical health.
ALL PROCEEDS raised will be donated to NAMI of Santa Clara. If you live in the area please join us, and spread the word!
